Sustainable Procurement Policy

Tangspac is committed to sustainable procurement practices that prioritize ethical supplier social practices and environmental responsibility alongside conventional procurement considerations. This policy reflects our dedication to managing risks of social and environmental impacts in our supply chain, ensuring fair labor practices, minimizing ecological harm, and fostering a responsible and inclusive business ecosystem.

Policy Objectives
Our sustainable procurement policy aims to:
• Promote fair and ethical labor practices, including safe working conditions, fair wages, and reasonable working hours, across our supply chain.
• Mitigate social risks in supplier operations, such as exploitation, discrimination, or unsafe workplaces.
• Reduce environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable resource use in our supply chain.
• Integrate social responsibility into procurement decisions alongside cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Build long-term partnerships with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.
• Enhance transparency and accountability in our supply chain management.

Scope
This policy applies to all suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors (collectively “suppliers”) that provide goods or services to Tangspac Consulting globally, including but not limited to:
• Office and IT equipment providers
• HR software and systems suppliers
• Professional service providers (e.g., background check vendors, training providers)

Commitment to Supplier Social and Environmental Practices
Tangspac evaluates and selects suppliers based on their adherence to ethical social practices, ensuring alignment with our values and legal requirements. Key focus areas include:

Social Practices
• Promote Human Rights: Ensure all suppliers uphold fundamental human rights, ensuring fair labor practices and freedom from discrimination or forced labor.
• Encourage Fair Wages and Working Conditions: Promote compliance with legal requirements regarding wages, benefits, working hours, and rest periods.
• Foster Safe and Respectful Workplaces: Ensure suppliers provide safe working environments and proactively prevent harassment or abuse.
• Support Ethical Employment Practices: Encourage direct employment relationships and discourage exploitative labor practices, particularly in temporary or contract labor.
• Build Transparent and Accountable Partnerships: Work collaboratively with suppliers to improve transparency and address any social impacts in the supply chain.

Environmental Practices
• Minimize GHG Emissions: Encourage suppliers to adopt low-carbon practices.
• Promote Resource Efficiency: Prioritize suppliers who use energy-efficient processes, renewable energy, and sustainable materials.
• Reduce Waste: Require suppliers to implement waste management practices, such as recycling and proper disposal of hazardous materials, aligning with Tangspac’s waste sorting procedures.
• Prevent Environmental Harm: Ensure suppliers comply with environmental regulations and avoid practices that contribute to pollution or ecosystem degradation.

Supplier Expectations
Tangspac expects all suppliers to:

Social Expectations
1. Comply with Local and International Labor Standards, including:
• The International Labour Organization (ILO) core conventions
• Local labor laws and employment regulations
• Standards on minimum wage, overtime pay, and working hours

2. Prohibit the Use of Forced, Bonded, or Child Labor
• Suppliers must not use or benefit from any form of modern slavery or child labor.

3. Ensure Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunities
• Hiring, promotion, and compensation practices should be based on merit and not influenced by race, gender, age, nationality, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.

4. Provide Safe and Healthy Working Conditions
• Maintain workplace safety in accordance with applicable health and safety laws and promote worker well-being.

5. Respect Freedom of Association
• Recognize and respect the rights of workers to join trade unions and collective bargaining processes where applicable.

Environmental Expectations
1. Comply with Environmental Regulations
• Adhere to local and international environmental laws

2. Reduce GHG Emissions
• Use renewable energy sources where feasible and optimize energy efficiency.

3. Implement Waste Management Practices
• Sort waste into appropriate streams (e.g., paper, plastics, metals, glass, organic, hazardous) and prioritize recycling, aligning with Tangspac’s waste sorting guidelines.
• Minimize packaging and use recyclable or biodegradable materials.

4. Conserve Resources
• Adopt water- and energy-efficient technologies and practices.
• Source sustainable materials (e.g., FSC-certified paper, eco-friendly office supplies).

5. Prevent Pollution
• Avoid practices that contribute to air, water, or soil pollution.

Procurement Integration
Tangspac will integrate social responsibility considerations into procurement decisions by:
• Supplier Due Diligence: Conducting risk-based assessments of suppliers’ labor and social practices during onboarding and periodically thereafter.
• Contractual Requirements: Including social responsibility clauses in supplier agreements where appropriate.
• Supplier Engagement: Collaborating with suppliers to build capacity, share best practices, and support continuous improvement.
• Balanced Evaluation: Incorporating social and environmental criteria into supplier selection alongside conventional factors

Monitoring and Compliance
• Audits and Assessments: We may request documentation, conduct interviews, or commission audits to validate supplier compliance.
• Corrective Action Plans: If non-compliance is identified, suppliers are expected to cooperate in developing and implementing corrective actions within a reasonable timeframe.
• Termination of Relationship: Continued failure to meet expectations may result in termination of the business relationship.

Continuous Improvement and Review
This policy will be reviewed and updated annually to reflect evolving best practices, legal requirements, and Tangspac’s strategic objectives.
